Circo Mocorongo leva informação para prevenir a Dengue

Um palhaço vestido de mosquito da Dengue sai por detrás de uma cortina colorida montada no barracão da comunidade de Solimões, no Rio Tapajós. Junto com ele, outros palhaços entram para ensinar com brincadeiras e muita descontração, como prevenir a Dengue. É o espetáculo educativo de mais um Circo Mocorongo de Saúde e Alegria, que faz parte das Caravanas de Educação Popular nas comunidades ribeirinhas da área da Resex Tapajós. A equipe chega através do Barco Abaré, a primeira Unidade de Saúde da Família Fluvial do Brasil, em parceria com as prefeituras de Santarém e Belterra e o Projeto Saúde e Alegria.
A equipe do Abaré sabe que tão importante quanto o atendimento em saúde, é importante levar educação para prevenir as doenças. O trabalho mobiliza as comunidades através de dinâmicas coletivas, reuniões, oficinas e brincadeiras envolvendo crianças, jovens e adultos. Nessas atividades, a comunidade fica mais informada sobre o que é a Dengue, as consequências, o ciclo, e principalmente como prevenir os focos do mosquito transmissor. Os agentes multiplicadores das Comissões Locais de Saúde – CLIS, são capacitados para continuarem o trabalho educativo depois que a equipe sair da comunidade.
Assim como em Solimões, pelo menos 25 outras comunidades região estão recebendo as Caravanas de educação sobre a Dengue.
Depois de muita informação, vem o Circo Mocorongo, com os produtos criados nas palestras.
