XIII Teia Cabocla: Desafios e oportunidades para os jovens

Até 1998, quando a Resex foi criada, a principal bandeira de luta das comunidades era a conquista do território. E hoje? Em meio à tantas problemáticas quais bandeiras de luta devem ser encaradas como prioridades? São inúmeros os desafios enfrentados no dia a dia da Reserva Extrativista (Resex) Tapajós – Arapiuns. Tais desafios, na maioria das vezes, tomam proporções maiores entre os jovens, principalmente pelas projeções e expectativa de futuro. Os 52 jovens que participam da XIII Teia Cabocla puderam dar sua opinião sobre o assunto em uma das atividades do encontro.
Através de quatro grupos de trabalho foi promovido um debate intenso sobre os desafios e oportunidades dentro da Resex. Diversas temáticas foram citadas, entre elas a melhoria no acesso à saúde, destinação adequada do lixo domiciliar produzido nas comunidades, melhoria no acesso à comunicação entre outras. Porém as que mais receberam ênfase foram os desafios para implantação do ensino médio regular e a falta de mecanismo que proporcionem a geração de emprego e renda. Interessante observar que os dois desafios mais citados são complementares uma vez que o desenvolvimento econômico, verdadeiro e sustentável, passa necessariamente pela melhoria da educação formal.
A dificuldade no acesso ao ensino médio faz com que muitos jovens deixem suas comunidades e migrem para Santarém com a intenção de concluir o ensino básico. Este fluxo migratório desencadeia diversos problemas característico do êxodo rural como inchaço urbano e pessoas vivendo em condições sociais precárias em bairros periféricos. Em outras comunidades da Resex existe acesso ao ensino médio porém na modalidade modular.
O ensino modular faz parte de um programa da Secretaria Estadual de Educação e é uma alternativa de Ensino Médio Regular em comunidades do interior que não possuem escolas estaduais. A metodologia é diferenciada do ensino regular e as disciplinas são oferecidas por módulos. De acordo com os jovens da Resex o ensino modular, apesar de ser uma alternativa para concluir o ensino básico, não é adequado.
Entre as diversas situações relatadas está a demora para os professores chegarem às comunidades, seja por falta de sala de aula ou de alojamento. Algumas vezes a demora de um módulo para o outro desestimula os estudantes e muitos acabam desistindo da escola. Outro fato é a baixa qualidade do ensino. Ivana Oliveira de Cachoeira do Aruã conta que o ensino médio inadequado acaba tirando o sonho de entrar em uma universidade. “Entrar em uma faculdade estudando português por 15 dias não dá”, desabafa a jovem.
Sobre a dificuldade em geração de emprego e renda muitos foram os fatores e também as alternativas apontadas. A mais evidente retorna à problemática anterior da dificuldade no acesso à educação de qualidade. Os jovens da Resex esperam melhorias na educação através de acesso a cursos superiores e também de capacitação técnica. Entre as alternativas apontadas está a implantação de polos universitários e de escolas técnicas, para que não seja necessário abandonar a comunidade em busca de qualificação. “Hoje quem não tem capacitação está perdido”, enfatiza Natalina Oliveira da Comunidade Boim.
Também foi defendido que haja capacitação para estimular o espírito empreendedor nos jovens, partindo da exploração sustentáveis dos recursos da Resex. Uma das experiências de empreendedorismo, compartilhadas nos grupos de trabalho, foi a do jovem José Chaves da Comunidade Surucuá. José conta que investiu, através de financiamento bancário para microempreendedores, na construção de uma casa de farinha e hoje tem uma fonte de renda própria. “Há muitas alternativas para geração de renda dentro da Resex, basta a gente saber o que fazer”, ressalta José.
Apesar de serem muitos os desafios todos acreditam que é possível superá-los com a união e espírito comunitário. “Temos muitos desafios e eles só podem ser superados pelos jovens”, enfatiza Ivana de Cachoeira do Aruã. Novas conquistas passam necessariamente pelo protagonismo juvenil nas ações que buscam o bem comum e na conquista do espaço pelos jovens nas associações e grupos comunitários.
