Levantamento de sementes marca seminário em Aveiro na Floresta Nacional do Tapajós
29 de novembro de 2018 por Samela BonfimDe 26 a 28 de novembro moradores da comunidade participaram do evento que incentiva a produção sustentável de diferentes plantas como forma de manter o ecossistema e extrair dele a renda familiar
Tipos de sementes de plantas aromáticas, plantas frutíferas, ervas medicinais e arvores lenhosas (capazes de produzir madeira dos seus caules) foram indicados pelos participantes do seminário que idealizam aumentar as produções com fim ao reflorestamento e aumentar o lucro a partir da produção das espécies.
Andiroba, copaíba, castanha, pupunha e Cumaru foram as sementes mais indicadas para a produção de plantas com alto potencial de fabricação de óleos. Açaí, cacau, tucumã e caju foram apontadas como plantas frutíferas importantes para a comercialização na região. Muiracatiara, louro e tauari se destacaram pela capacidade de uso na produção de móveis. Já na categoria das ervas medicinais são algumas das apostas dos moradores: unha de gato, cidreira, canela e mangarataia.
Entusiasmados com a perspectiva de melhorar a cadeia produtiva, os moradores da comunidade São Francisco das Chagas – Rio Cupari no município de Aveiro/Pá, localizada na Floresta Nacional do Tapajós – FLONA desenharam a estrutura que imaginam para as plantações dentro da comunidade e de que maneira irão organizar a divisão do plantio por espécies.
Os frutos de plantas típicas da região Amazônica como Andiroba e o Cumaru são visados pelas indústrias de cosméticos, setor culinário e artesanal. Porém apesar da grande apreciação do comercio nacional e internacional, é preciso incentivar a plantação das arvores dessas espécies e fomentar a produtividade sustentável.
Os moradores da comunidade conheceram técnicas de coleta para a venda das sementes e tiveram acesso a estratégias de conservação dos recursos da natureza como método de capacitação continua em técnicas e sistemas produtivos mais modernos e eficientes, que ao mesmo tempo preservem a floresta e garantam renda aos extrativistas.
O responsável pela atividade e coordenador do CEFA – Steve Mcqueen enfatizou a proposta do seminário: “Representa o fortalecimento da cadeia de sementes na região do Tapajós onde as comunidades que já desenvolvem o trabalho de extrativismo vão ter a oportunidade de avançar nessa cadeia das sementes. A gente espera poder junto com os parceiros, desenvolver um trabalho de coleta, capacitação, beneficiamento e mercado para chegar ao ponto da comercialização de mudas e óleos” – explica.
O seminário incentiva a cadeia produtiva sustentável e promove geração de renda por meio do manejo de óleos e sementes, através do Projeto Saúde e Alegria com o apoio do Fundo Amazônia na região. Os projetos já são realizados nas comunidades que precisam consolidar cada vez mais estratégias para aumentar a renda familiar de maneira organizada e sustentável.
As reservas são compostas principalmente por agricultores e extrativistas que desenvolvem ações dentro de cadeias produtivas não-madeireiras, que possuem enorme potencial para ampliar processos econômicos de desenvolvimento local.
