História da comunidade de Urucureá

Para fazer o retrato da nossa comunidade e mostrar a História de Urucureá entrevistamos dois moradores mais antigos da nossa comunidade que foram: Alvina Ferreira de 88 anos e o professor Valdemar de 55 anos de idade e juntando as entrevistas conseguirmos chegar ao historico da comunidade que dis assim:
HISTÓRICO DA COMUNIDADE DE URUCUREÁ
Ocupação Indígena
Em meados do século XIX, habitava em uma área da atual comunidade, uma tribo indígena denominado Patachós que trabalhava plantação e colheita de urucum, de milho e mandiocas. Alimentavam-se da própria agricultura, da caça e da pesca que praticavam nos rios Arapiuns e no rio Amazonas, tendo como ponto de referencia no Arapiuns uma cabeceira onde havia um igapó, lugar adequado para abrigar botes, caniços arcos e flechas. No rio Amazonas, o ponto referencial fora a enseada que os índios deram o nome de “Patacho” que também servira de abrigo para os apetrechos da pesca e da caça.
Após várias décadas residindo nesse lugar os indígenas abandonaram a área de trabalho e emigraram para outras regiões em busca de algo melhor por exemplo: terra abundantes e férteis que oferecessem boas colheitas. A habitação dos nativos foram comprovadas através da observação de pessoas que chegaram mais tarde a comunidade com intuito de fixar residencias. Os novos habitantes encontraram vestígios de muitos artefatos fabricados pelos retirantes nativos, a essa área habitada pelos índios, os novos residentes deram o nome da terra preta por ser terra fértil e própria para a agricultura. Vale salientar que a nova habitação ocorreu aproximadamente nas últimas décadas do século XIX.
História de ocupação
As primeiras famílias a chegarem à comunidade foram: da senhora Ami, Maria, Aninha, Delu, Didi, Oliveira e José Francisco Nordestino. Com o passar dos tempos as famílias observaram que existiam coisas admiráveis por exemplo: um grande igapó com grande diversidade de peixes, pássaros, mamíferos e insetos.
Origem do nome
Entre essas espécies havia um tipo de pássaro que os habitantes chamaram “Urucureá”, por serem de porte avantajados e seu canto muito forte que parecia um coral sinfônico, bem organizado. Era uma espécie de Coruja. A partir de então, o nome da comunidade passou a se chamar “URUCUREÁ” baseando se nessa origem, foi que o cantor e compositor da comunidade, Antônio Ferreira Rodrigues desenvolver com muita propriedade em uma de suas músicas sobre a célebre história de URUCUREÁ assim:
“Será de coruja ?
Ou de urucum. Seilá !
Eu só sei que o nome do meu paraíso é Urucureá”
dessa forma foi possível compreender que com a contribuição dos indígenas, as primeiras famílias e as demais tornou-se viável resgatar o memorial de nossa comunidade.
