Hoje dia 15 de abril, teve o torneio inicio do II Copão de futebol do alto Tapajós, na comunidade Boim com a participação de seis equipes. As oito horas e trinta houve o hasteamento das bandeiras do Brasil, Estado, município, da Vila e dos clubes participantes. Em seguida, o juramento dos atletas e palavras das autoridades presentes e coordenação do evento com a presença do vereador Emir Aguiar que dá o apoio e a logística deste grandioso Copão, tendo como coordenador geral Rosivan Castro e Evandro Assunção.
Antes da primeira partida houve a entrega de faixas ao Internacional da comunidade de Nova Vista, campeão do Copão do ano 2011. Tivemos a presença e participação de Ailton Caldeira, árbitro da LES, que apitou a primeira partida do dia auxiliado por Odailson Oliveira e Obenildo Santos. A decisão do torneio foi entre as equipes de Internacional e Santos ,ambos de Nova Vista e ao final a vitória do time campeão do ano passado por 2X0. Além das equipes que disputaram a final do torneio participaram também América (Boim), Esporte Serraria (Tucumatuba), Tapajós (Nuquini) e Portuguesa (Samauma).
