O pessoal de Pedra Branca, comunidade à margem esquerda do Rio Tapajós, sabe e não guarda segredo sobre o assunto.
Na Oficina de Vídeo com Celulares, conduzida por Bob Barbosa e Gabriel Abreu, os comunitários decidiram mostrar como é o processo que começa no roçado, passa pela Casa de Farinha, e termina na cozinha.
As funções foram dos comunitários: as câmeras celulares operadas por Marcos Feitosa e Gil de Oliveira, que também editou o curta; a mãe de Gil, Dona Gorette Ferreira uma das entrevistadoras, junto com Silvany Maria; a produção de alimentação da Márcia Santos e o elenco de farinheiros composto por Francenilda Ferreira, Lúcio Belém e João Corrêa.
Toda essa turma trabalha, de algum modo, com a produção de farinha e derivados da mandioca e da macaxeira em Pedra Branca. A própria Casa de Farinha usada no filme estava em plena atividade no dia da gravação, inclusive os seus donos, Alex Tufi e Elaine Alves, estavam lá ajudando.
Também a cantiga da farinhada, cantada pela comunitária Silvany Maria, foi gravada com um dos dois celulares usados para as cenas do filme.
Tanto as gravações como a edição de “Farinhada da Pedra Branca” foram feitas nos dias 29 e 30 de junho, dentro da Oficina de Vídeo com Celulares – que é realizada pelo Saúde & Alegria, com apoio da Vivo.
