A Comunidade de Santí, na margem esquerda do Tapajós, está dando o seu recado para que todos respeitem a floresta ao fazerem seus roçados, não deixando que o fogo ultrapasse os limites do aceiro.
Para quem não sabe, aceiro é uma pequena faixa de terra circundante aos roçados, que impede a passagem do fogo para a vegetação, evitando queimadas ou incêndios.
E o recado veio através das Oficinas de Vídeo com Celulares, onde a comunidade desenvolveu uma história que mistura uma lenda da amazônia com a prática do roçado, necessário para a agricultura de subsistência.
A Oficina, realizada em 11 de maio, foi conduzida por Bob Barbosa e Gabriel Abriel, com o acompanhamento de Elis Lucien e Edicleise Macacheira, arte-educadoras do Barco Abaré.
Na noite anterior, a comunidade assistiu ao Cine Mocorongo, onde foram exibidos vídeos realizados nas Oficinas em outras comunidades, como Suruacá, Maguari e Jamaraquá.
Na noite seguinte, quase toda a comunidade, composta por 28 famílias, estava presente na exibição do filmete “O Espantador”!
Entre crianças, jovens e adultos, 17 pessoas integraram o elenco e a equipe técnica do filmete, realizado durante a Oficina, que é uma realização do Saúde & Alegria, com o apoio do Instituto Vivo.
