É assim que começou na noite de 29 de junho, dia de São Pedro, a música de abertura do Cardão de Pássaro A Pomba, na comunidade de Mararu, município de Santarém. O grupo folclórico conseguiu resgatar uma antiga tradição do folclore paraense, os Cordões. Cordão do Tangará, Cordão da Patativa, entre tantos outros que se perderam no tempo, mas não na memória dos amamantes da cultura popular. Os cordões sempre foram o que havia de mais especial e autêntico nas festas juninas em nossa região, com músicas próprias, roupas e fantasias feitas pelos próprios participantes e o enredo mostrando personagens representativos da cultura tradicional que se envolvem na trama de cuidar e ressuscitar o pássaro após a morte por um caçador. Mais ou menos como no auto do bumba meu boi.
Na comunidade de Mararú, as antigas e novas gerações se envolveram no resgate do Cordão da Pomba.
Um desafio a nós mesmos: realizar um projeto cultural de valorização dos cordões de pássaro, que ainda existem nas memórias dos mais velhos e se resgatadas pode ser um ótimo instrumento de engajamernto dos jovens com suas raízes culturais. Afinal, quando se trata de música e dança, a juventude participa!
A Banda do Cordão da Pomba contou com a participação do saxofonista José Luiz Barbosa, o popular palhaço Pimentinha, que em tempos atrás com sua esposa Dona Ruth Rodrigues, a popular Sarita, mantinham o Cordão da Patativa.

Oi Fabinho, super legal esse resgate da cultura dos cordões de pássaros.
Tínhamos a Patativa, que veio para minha família pelas mãos do palhaço Cartolinha que adorava a cultura local, assim a minha mãe (já valecida)com suas músicas e enredos do pássaro a cada ano.E que fez a dupla com o maravilhoso saxofonista José Luís o palhaço Pimentinha que adora tocar. Nasceu no berço da música e vive dela até hoje.
Obrigado ao povo da comunidade de Mararu e aos que revivem em suas lembranças.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell
