Jovens ribeirinhos participam de audiência pública sobre ensino médio em Santarém

A audiência ocorreu na última quarta-feira, dia 23 de setembro de 2015, na Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará – UFOPA, e foi conduzida pela Assembleia Legislativa do Estado do Pará-ALEPA, que constituiu uma Comissão de Estudos da Reforma do Ensino Médio, com o objetivo de coletar dados, propostas para que o legislativo estadual crie um projeto que colabore com a reforma do ensino médio no Estado do Pará.
Na oportunidade, representantes de organizações e instituições, professores, alunos e ex alunos manifestaram seus anseios, suas propostas e suas indignações relacionadas a atual realidade da Educação do Ensino Médio aqui na Região.
No Oeste do Pará, são constantes as manifestações, reclamações da comunidade escolar e da sociedade sobre o abandono em que se encontra o ensino médio. Na cidade de Santarém, são prédios com mais de 20 anos sem reforma, e nos casos em que são feitas, as obras ficam paralisadas ou com muito tempo sem conclusão. As graves dos professores são recorrentes, reivindicando melhores condições salariais e melhor estrutura para o trabalho. Essa situação se reflete nos péssimos indicadores do ensino médio no estado. Segundo informações da Agência A Publica, no Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica – IDEB de 2009, por exemplo, o Pará tinha apenas 69,9% de aprovação, enquanto a média nacional foi de 87,6%. Do total de alunos, 12,4% reprovaram, enquanto a média nacional era de 9,6%. E o mais grave, 17,7% dos alunos abandonaram os estudos, enquanto no Brasil como um todo a media era de apenas 2,8%.
Essa precarização tem levado o Governo do Estado a justificar a privatização do ensino médio no Estado, o que de fato pode representar um abandono do poder público de sua função ao transformar a educação em produto no mercado, onde o povo como sempre vai pagar a conta duas vezes.
Se essa realidade é difícil na cidade, pior ainda é no interior, em comunidades rurais onde poucas comunidades tem acesso ao ensino médio, e quanto tem, em sua maioria é feito através do SOME – Sistema Modular do Ensino Médio, criado como uma solução temporária para ofertar o ensino às zona rural, que acabou se tornando a única maneira de acesso.
Em boa parte das comunidades onde o SOME atua, as reclamações são constantes quanto a carência de professores, que tem que se deslocar até às comunidades. O calendário das aulas é quase sempre instável. E as estruturas onde são ministradas as aulas ficam dependentes das escolas municipais.
A jovem Ingrid Natália Godinho, atualmente estudante de Serviço Social, e ex aluna do SOME na Comunidade de Vila Anã, na Reserva Extrativista Tapajós-Arapiuns, participou da audiência e manifestou sua opinião.
“O SOME não é a melhor opção de ensino. Mas para nós que moramos em lugares distantes ainda é tudo. Ruim com ele, pior sem ele, ou seja, por enquanto deve ser mantido. Mas o Estado deveria pelo menos cumprir sua função como Estado, porque não basta somente ter um professor na sala de aula, é preciso professores qualificados, efetivos, infraestrutura adequada, material pedagógico , merenda escolar de qualidade e acima de tudo acessibilidade para alunos e professores. Queremos apenas que o sistema melhore”, comentou a estudante.
Natália propôs ainda, que o Ensino Médio fosse mais adequado à realidade das comunidades rurais, “que seja transformado em um ensino tecnológico voltado para o campo, para nossa realidade, onde os alunos sejam preparados para o trabalho e que não precisem sair de sua comunidade, ou coisa parecida, para ter estabilidade financeira e, que os investimentos apareçam de fato numa educação de qualidade”.
Ao final da audiência foram encaminhadas diversas propostas que seguem agora para avaliação da Comissão e do Legislativo Paraense.
