Festival sobre Comunicação Comunitária, em Minas Gerais, destaca vídeos ribeirinhos

Dois vídeos de comunidades parceiras do Projeto Saúde & Alegria foram selecionados para o Festival Imagem Comunitária e Transformação Cultural, que rola entre 20 e 24 de novembro em Belo Horizonte.
Aramanaí, no município de Belterra, e Pedra Branca, uma comunidade da Resex Tapajós-Arapiuns, no município de Santarém, estão representadas, respectivamente, por Iaras de Aramanaí e Farinhada da Pedra Branca.
As duas produções são as únicas da Amazônia Brasileira na Mostra de Vídeos do evento, que apresentará trabalhos de coletivos que utilizam a produção audiovisual como instrumento de transformação social, em comunidades na América do Sul.
Na programação do Festival Imagem Comunitária e Transformação Cultural haverá também um Seminário, com participação de pesquisadores, comunicadores e ativistas sociais, que debaterão sobre comunicação comunitária, democracia e diversidade cultural.
No Seminário sou um dos convidados da mesa de debates “Novos Territórios da Cultura”, onde dialogarei sobre as experiências comunitárias e audiovisuais do Projeto Saúde & Alegria nos beiradões do Tapajós e Arapiuns.
Outro destaque será uma Exposição, um “varal de afetos”, com roupas, tecidos e estampas impressas a partir de “Diários de Bordo” de pessoas que fizeram parte dos 20 anos de história da realizadora do evento: a Associação Imagem Comunitária.
Os dois vídeos ribeirinhos que serão exibidos na Mostra do Festival, foram gravados em celular e editados nas comunidades em 2011, através de oficinas conduzidas por Bob Barbosa e Gabriel Abreu, e coordenadas por Paulo Lima e Fabio Pena, do Projeto Saúde e Alegria, com apoio da Vivo / Fundação Telefônica.

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to
my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
