Ribeirinhos da Resex Tapajós-Arapiuns participam de oficina sobre acesso ao PNAE e PAA

Comunitários são informados sobre como poderão ter acesso aos mercados institucionais para comercializarem produtos da agricultura familiar.
Desde ontem, 22, o Projeto Saúde e Alegria e parceiros realizam a oficina Acesso aos Mercados Institucionais na comunidade de Pedra Branca. Participam também os comunitários de Solimões, Anumã e Carão. O evento encerra amanhã, dia 24.
A oficina visa informar aos agricultores e extrativistas da Reserva Extrativista (Resex) Tapajós-Arapiuns como podem acessar as políticas públicas voltadas aos mercados institucionais, que contemplam o Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA) e o Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE).
Estão presentes representantes do Sindicato dos Trabalhadores e Trabalhadoras Rurais de Santarém (STTR), Secretaria de Trabalho e Assistência Social (SEMTRAS) e Educação e Desposto (SEMED).
O Mercado Institucional possibilita que o agricultor comercialize os seus produtos através dos programas PNAE e PAA; ao mesmo tempo valoriza a identidade da agricultora familiar, incentiva à organização, cooperação e/ou formalização dos agricultores, além de incrementar a geração de renda e melhorar a qualidade de vida.
A atividade faz parte do Programa Floresta Ativa, realizado pelo PSA em parceria com o Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade (ICMBio) e Associação Tapajoara. Ao todo serão realizadas sete oficinas sobre o tema. A próxima será na Comunidade de Parauá nos dias 05 a 07 de fevereiro. Participarão também comunitários de Suruacá, Retiro e Mangal.
Mas afinal, o que é o PAA e PNAE?
O Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE) é um programa do governo federal e tem por objetivo oferecer alimentação saudável aos estudantes das escolas públicas, contribuindo assim com a segurança alimentar e nutricional de alunos e alunas da rede pública de ensino.
O Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA) adquiri produtos da agricultura familiar, com a finalidade de atender a demanda de alimentos de populações em condições de insegurança alimentar. Os participantes, agricultores enquadrados no Programa de Fortalecimento da Agricultura Familiar (PRONAF) devem preferencialmente estar organizados através de grupos formais (cooperativas e associações).
