Festival do Mapurá
6 de outubro de 2008 por Elis LucienA “fala” é um dos meios de comunicação da cultura de um povo. Numa roda de conversa entre jovens fiquei sabendo do Festival do Mapurá, que é um cordão de peixe – dança regional geralmente apresentada no mês junino. Mas que na comunidade de Tauari é realizada em outubro com torneio esportivo pela parte do dia e à noite apresentação cultural do mesmo. Nos arquivos da Rede Mocoronga o sucursal comunitário de 2005, o repórter nos fala o que é o festival?
“O Festival do Mapurá é uma manifestação da cultura local com objetivo de resgatar lendas, cordões, mitos e incentivar a juventude a valorizar o meio ambiente em que vivem. É um cordão de peixe, o enredo é dançado e falado por seus brincantes e conta a estoria de uma jovem encantada; um pajé – um feiticeiro dos bons da região do rio Tapajós; a lenda dos índios Tapajoaras que foram habitantes de uma serra que chamam de “rumão”; a estoria do tucunaré de ouro que vivia na cabeceira do rio Tauari; os encantos do boto cor-de-rosa; estoria do Jurupari; a encantada sereia do rio Tauari; o grito da flona tapajós falando da preservação e conservação das espécies que ainda existem na região.”

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids. I found a sea
