Lançamento do Fórum Amazônia Sustentável em Brasília

O Fórum Amazônia Sustentável chega em Brasília no dia 18 de março, após ser lançado em São Paulo e Manaus. O evento é organizado pela Frente Parlamentar Ambientalista, Instituto do Homem e do Meio Ambiente da Amazônia (Imazon), Preserve Amazônia e Instituto Socioambiental (ISA).
O lançamento do Fórum Amazônia Sustentável em Brasília tem início às 8 horas, no Auditório Petrônio Portela, Senado Federal. Logo após a abertura, haverá o Painel: Infraestrutura e Sustentabilidade na Amazônia, o qual terá como comentaristas, Mariano Cenamo, do Idesam, e Adriana Ramos, do ISA.
O objetivo do Painel é fomentar a reflexão entre grupos distintos em relação ao tema que atinge diretamente populações tradicionais e o meio ambiente e, desta forma, ajudar a solucionar problemas da região amazônica relacionados a meios de transporte, instalação de megaprojetos, desmatamento e dificuldades em relação à infraestrutura de comunicação.
Em entrevista, Adriana Ramos explica que “O painel Infraestrutura e Sustentabilidade na Amazônia vai traçar um panorama dos principais projetos na região e indicar como eles devem ser alinhados para um aproveitamento sustentável”.
Para ela, é importante abordar a questão da infraestrutura associada à sustentabilidade em espaços de debate bem articulados e coesos como o Fórum Amazônia Sustentável, pois esta é uma forma de acabar com a dicotomia que existe entre o desenvolvimento e a necessidade de conservação.
Na ocasião, os palestrantes também vão discutir a necessidade da participação da população tradicional no processo de planejamento das obras de infraestrutura. Adriana Ramos afirma que “o poder público e os empreendedores têm o dever de compensá-las, minimizando os impactos. Aqueles que são irreversíveis devem ser compensados por meio de investimentos financeiros ou outros apresentados pela população, como escolas e postos de saúde”.

There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched
her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is
