14 de dezembro de 2010 por Fábio PenaNa edição de hoje, 14/12, Jornal Folha de São Paulo destacou o lançamento da primeira equipe de saúde da família fluvial do Brasil. “Boa Notícia: Barco-hospital vira política pública em rios da Amazônia”, diz a chamada de capa.
DE SÃO PAULO
A população ribeirinha da região amazônica e do Mato Grosso do Sul ficará mais perto dos cuidados de saúde.
Uma portaria do Ministério da Saúde oficializou financiamento para que equipes do Programa de Saúde da Família viajem pelos rios da região, levando cuidados médicos e odontológicos.
O modelo é o da ONG Saúde e Alegria que, desde 2006, com o barco Abaré, atende 13 mil pessoas em Santarém, Aveiro e Belterra, no Pará. Até agora, o projeto era financiado pela ONG em parceira com as secretarias de saúde municipais. A partir de 2011, o atendimento médico do barco passa a ser responsabilidade do poder público.
“O que foi semeado na nossa região pode gerar frutos em toda a Amazônia”, diz Caetano Scannavino, 44, coordenador da ONG.

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just
