VIVO, Sony Ericsson e PSA inauguram hoje projeto para conectar comunidades da Amazônia

Acontece hoje na cidade de Belterra, Oeste do Pará, a inauguração da Estação Rádio Base (ERB) Pedro Teixeira, antena de telecomunicações móveis com tecnologia de Terceira Geração que permite, além da comunicação de voz, o acesso à internet com banda larga móvel. A inauguração marca o início da parceria da Vivo e da Sony Ericsson com o Projeto Saúde & Alegria visando conectar comunidades atendidas pela organização e desenvolver metodologias educacionais por meio do uso de dispositivos celulares móveis.
Uma delegação composta pelo presidente da Vivo, Roberto Lima, Presidente da Sony Ericsson, Fátima Raimondi e cerca de 25 profissionais da duas empresas e consórcio, além da imprensa nacional já estão em Santarém, onde visitam pontos turísticos da cidade, almoçam com os coordenadores do Projeto Saúde e Alegria e conhecem a sede do projeto. À tarde a delegação parte para Belterra, onde acontece a solenidade de inauguração, contando com a presença de personalidades como o publicitário Roberto, autoridades nacionais como Jarbas Valtente, da ANATEL, Francisco Menezes, do Ministério das Comunicações, Cládio Violato do CPQD, e autoridades locais, como o Prefeito de Belterra Geraldo Pastana, e o vice-governador do Estado do Pará, Odair Correia.
A solenidade de inauguração em Belterra contará, entre outras atrações culturais de Belterra, com a apresentação do Circo Mocorongo do Saúde e Alegria com sorteio de telefones celulares para a população.

Da esquerda para direita: Rodrigo, Secret. Munc. de Infraestrutura de Belterra; Roberto Lima, presidente da Vivo; Geraldo Pastana, Prefeito de Belterra; Caetano Scannavino, coordenador do PSA; Fatima Raimondi, presidente da Ericsson.
No dia 15 de outubro durante um dos maiores eventos de telecomunicações da América Latina, o Futurecom, que está acontecendo em São Paulo, foi anunciada a parceria da Vivo e Sony Ericsson, Prefeitura de Belterra e o Projeto Saúde & Alegria para beneficiar as comunidades atendidas pela organização não-governamental na Região.
Com a infra-estrutura da Vivo, maior operadora do Brasil com mais de 48 milhões de clientes, e a Ericsson, a proposta é levar conectividade em banda larga móvel ao coração da Amazônia Legal. A razão deste investimento é ampliar as condições de atendimento da ONG Projeto Saúde & Alegria, que promove o desenvolvimento e o estímulo à formação de comunidades de aprendizagem para mais de 30 mil pessoas de 143 vilarejos em Belterra, Santarém e Aveiro, no Oeste do Pará.
O Projeto Saúde & Alegria atua diretamente em três municípios do Oeste do Pará – Belterra, Aveiro e Santarém –, atendendo principalmente as populações rurais e com o propósito do desenvolvimento comunitário na Amazônia. A missão é desenvolver as comunidades por meio do aprimoramento de políticas públicas e a oferta de serviços básicos para a população, principalmente voltados à saúde e educação. Uma equipe interdisciplinar visita regularmente as comunidades, realizando programas de desenvolvimento comunitário nas áreas de saúde, organização comunitária, economia da floresta, educação, cultura e comunicação.
A Vivo fará a instalação e a manutenção da infra-estrutura básica de comunicação, o que envolve a instalação de uma antena na cidade de Belterra, que antes não dispunha do serviço de telefonia móvel, a ser inaugurado ainda neste mês de outubro; o Instituto Vivo desenvolverá metodologias e práticas de aprendizagem em rede, amplificando as oportunidades do projeto.
Já a Ericsson irá desenvolver e implementar as soluções necessárias como equipamentos de rádio, serviços relacionados e um aplicativo multimídia como a Ferramenta de Pesquisa que monitora impactos ambientais; efetua diagnósticos na área da saúde; facilita a comunicação entre a equipe e as comunidades; e realiza pesquisas para monitoramento dos índices de qualidade de vida.
O Projeto Saúde & Alegria oferecerá suporte local e fará o desenvolvimento educativo de aplicação destas novas tecnologias às demandas sociais, sendo responsável pelo treinamento das comunidades e orientando sobre a utilização dos aplicativos.
Caetano Scannavino Neto, coordenador do Projeto Saúde & Alegria, diz: “Para nós, é fundamental unir a tecnologia ao desenvolvimento social e econômico de áreas remotas do Brasil. A parceria do nosso projeto com a Vivo e a Ericsson será de extrema importância para as nossas atividades de educação e saúde com as comunidades da região amazônica.”
Roberto Lima, presidente da Vivo, disse na sua palestra na Futurecom: “Acreditamos e trabalhamos para mostrar que o Brasil conectado pode mais. Esse é nosso lema e uma parceria como essa reforça o compromisso da companhia em atender e entender o desenvolvimento do Brasil. Vamos criar uma rede de aprendizagem por meio do uso de dispositivos móveis para a construção de arranjos educativos locais, com intercâmbio de informações”.
Fatima Raimondi, presidente da Ericsson, disse que “as comunicações móveis desempenham um papel importante ao ajudar comunidades se desenvolverem de forma sustentável. Trabalhar em parceria nos permitiu conseguir o que nenhum de nós poderia ter feito sozinho.”
Além da população do Município de Belterra ter acesso à telefonia celular, a parceria vai permitir principalmente o uso educativo das novas tecnologias através da criação de redes de aprendizagem, dando um salto importante nas iniciativas da Rede Mocoronga de Comunicação Popular. Serão atendidas numa primeira fase 15 comunidades. Nestes locais, kits de energia fotovoltaica irão recarregar os aparelhos, que serão usados na produção de conteúdos posteriormente publicados na web e/ou outras plataformas.
As comunicações móveis oferecem benefícios positivos e comprovados para pessoas em países em desenvolvimento, abrindo acesso eficiente a serviços básicos como a saúde, especialmente em áreas rurais com pouca ou nenhuma infraestrutura. O envolvimento do setor privado é considerado crucial para atingir essa meta.
