Doze mil mudas de plantas nativas serão distribuídas no Arapiuns para reflorestamento

Tendência devido ao aguçado interesse comercial de empresas madeireiras, o desmatamento na região Amazônia tem aumentado nos últimos anos. Pesquisadores do Instituto do Homem e Meio Ambiente da Amazônia (Imazon) chegaram a conclusão que o desmatamento na região citada aumentou 40% em 2018 nos estados do Acre, norte de Mato Grosso, sul do Amazonas, parte de Rondônia e oeste do Pará.
Para reduzir os alarmantes índices e contribuir com o reflorestamento iniciativas sustentáveis são fundamentais. O programa Floresta Ativa Tapajós desenvolvido pelo Projeto Saúde e Alegria com apoio do BNDS/Fundo Amazônia pretende ampliar o verde através da distribuição de mudas para os moradores das comunidades São José 1, Zaire, Aminã, Atody, São Miguel, Arapiranga e Anã, todas no Arapiuns.

Do dia 28 até 31 de janeiro as equipes estarão realizando visitas nessas comunidades para fazer levantamento e cadastro da pré-distribuição das mudas. “Vamos aproveitar para visitar alguns roçados, saber como é que está o andamento dos plantios. Essas visitas são importantes porque a gente vai garantir a distribuição prevista a partir de fevereiro e segue durante duas semanas na região” explicou o coordenador do CEFA – Steve Mcqueen.
O projeto de distribuição de mudas nessas sete comunidades pretende promover o reflorestamento através da participação dos próprios comunitários engajados com a defesa do meio ambiente e interessados em práticas de agricultura sustentável.
A intenção é recuperar áreas degradadas nas proximidades das comunidades, nos quintais e junto aos roçados familiares e oferecer aos produtores os instrumentos necessários para implantação de sistemas agroflorestais, permaculturais, entre outras práticas mais eficientes, eficazes e amigáveis ao meio ambiente. Desta forma, além de contribuir com a manutenção da floresta em pé, os agricultores familiares são incentivados a agregarem valor à sua produção, com a diversificação de espécies com valor de mercado, e a experimentação da venda de créditos de reposição florestal.

Meliponicultura
Além da reposição florestal, outra importante atividade para o equilíbrio do ecossistema é a criação de abelhas, uma vez que são cruciais para o planeta porque na busca do pólen (refeição), esses insetos polinizam plantações de frutas, legumes e grãos. A polinização é indispensável, pois é através dela que cerca de 80% das plantas se reproduzem.
Neste sentido, outro foco da atividade será com os manejadores de abelha, os comunitários que atuam no pólo floresta Ativa Tapajós. “Vamos tratar sobre padrão de produção, organização da comunidade, como desenvolver atividade com mel nas comunidades, tentar organizar o modelo de meliponário, manejo de colméias, coleta de mel e beneficiamento” – finaliza Alexandre Goudinho, técnico em Meliponicultura do Projeto.
