Extrativistas participam de seminário: ‘Iniciativas e desenvolvimento dos óleos na floresta’
24 de outubro de 2018 por Samela BonfimPromover iniciativas promissoras de extração do óleo na floresta, aproximar os povos tradicionais que sobrevivem da atividade sustentável de empresários e disseminar o conhecimento cientifico para os extrativistas são objetivos da oficina realizada na comunidade Carão, em Santarém
As atividades aconteceram no Centro Experimental Floresta Ativa (Cefa) instalado na c
omunidade Carão, Oeste do Pará. No espaço representantes de dezoito comunidades da Resex, Floresta Nacional do Tapajós e Lago Grande participaram da oficina que visa incentivar e melhorar a geração de renda e desenvolvimento sustentável dos moradores, com ênfase no aproveitamento econômico dos produtos extrativistas produzidos pelos comunitários.
A primeira edição do seminário destacou o potencial econômico dos óleos e sementes na região e de que maneira os extrativistas podem melhorar a produtividade sem esquecer o respeito ao meio ambiente.
Participantes trocaram experiência com os convidados que contribuíram para que a atividade atinja os objetivos propostos: Professor da Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará – Dr. Lauro Barata, Arimar Feitosa da Cooperativa Mista da Flona Tapajós e Jose Neto da Natura.
O responsável pela atividade e coordenador do CEFA Steve Mcqueen enfatizou a proposta do primeiro seminário que será realizado anualmente: “Mostrar as iniciativas promissoras do óleo na floresta, aproximar empresas, difundir as pesquisas da universidade para o desenvolvimento sócio ambiental das comunidades que desenvolvem a pratica da extração de óleo na medicina, parte alimentar e cosmético. Com a nossa experiência percebemos que é necessário aproximar as empresas, institutos de pesquisa para construir meios de melhorar produção, beneficiamento e venda desses produtos” – finaliza.
Evento organizado pelo Projeto Saúde & Alegria (PSA) com apoio da Fundação Konrad Adenauer (KAS) propõe capacitação continua aos moradores em técnicas e sistemas produtivos mais modernos e eficientes, que ao mesmo tempo preservem a floresta e garantam renda aos extrativistas.
