É Plantando que se Colhe incentiva a criação de hortas comunitárias

O projeto foi aprovado na Chamada de Apoio às Iniciativas Juvenis realizado pelo Saúde e Alegria
Preocupados com o meio ambiente, jovens acadêmicos da UFOPA se prontificaram a semear e compartilhar de seus conhecimentos para construção de boas práticas alimentares e ambientais em uma escola no interior da Amazônia.
O Projeto ‘É Plantando que se Colhe!’ tem como objetivo sensibilizar alunos da escola Santa Terezinha na comunidade de Maripá, localizada na Resex Tapajós-Arapiuns, sobre a importância da preservação ambiental e conservação do solo, por meio da reutilização de resíduos orgânicos na produção de hortaliças.
A iniciativa visa envolver crianças de 09 a 16 anos nas atividades que a equipe Sementes do Bem desenvolverá na comunidade. Será realizada a construção de novos canteiros nas dependências da escola, onde serão plantadas diversas hortaliças como tomate, pepino, pimentinha, couve, alface, cebolinha, pimentão entre outras leguminosas.
As atividades iniciaram com a apresentação da proposta para o Conselho e Comunidade Escolar: pais, alunos e funcionários. Nessas pequenas reuniões foi feito o convite aos jovens da comunidade para que pudessem participar como voluntários e apoiar o projeto no decorrer dos quatro meses de trabalho. O projeto é um iniciativa apoiada pelo Saúde e Alegria através da Chamada de Apoio às Iniciativas Juvenis.
O próximo passo da equipe Semente do Bem será uma noite cultural, que acontecerá no dia 14 de março e contará com muitas brincadeiras lúdicas e uma palestra sobre gestão de resíduos, ministrada pela professora Amanda Ferreira, Engenheira Agrônoma da UFOPA. Os trabalhos continuarão com muita empolgação e dedicação nos próximos meses; aguardem!

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I
found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell
to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
