Experiências amazônicas são destaques no maior encontro de internet do Brasil

O III Fórum da Internet no Brasil, realizado em Belém do Pará, nos dias 3, 4 e 5 de setembro, mobilizou representantes de diversos setores: governamental, empresarial, universitários e ativistas da cultura digital de vários lugares do país com o objetivo de propagar os “Princípios para a Governança e Uso da Internet”.
Este evento aconteceu pela primeira vez na região norte, sendo considerado um espaço dialógico e aberto para tratar sobre a internet e seus direitos quanto à neutralidade, acessibilidade, infra-estrutura, marco civil e outros assuntos de interesse coletivo, sempre pautando-se por uma internet livre, democrática e mais participativa.
Com participação custeada pelo auxílio-participativo do Comitê Gestor da Internet no Brasil (CGI), uma comitiva santarena também se fez presente, compartilhando suas experiências de cultura digital em debates, trilhas geradoras, atividades auto gestionadas e desconferências temáticas, onde abordaram suas conquistas coletivas em comunidades e escolas, e os desafios enfrentados na Amazônia, da questão geográfica a situação limitada da banda larga.
A equipe da comunidade OpenTapajós apresentou o FASOL – Fórum Amazônico de Software Livre – e abriu um diálogo sobre práticas de software livre. Na ocasião, Caio Rego, coordenador do FASOL, lamentou que este importante fórum, até então realizado anualmente, não acontecerá em 2013, devido a falta de recursos.
As atividades sócio-digitais, incluindo oficinas de stop motion e mostras de animação, realizadas nos laboratórios de informática das escolas municipais, através do trabalho do NIE – Núcleo de Informática Educativa da SEMED em parceria com o Puraqué, foram citadas como casos de sucesso em Santarém.
Também foi lembrado, o trabalho ativo de 12 anos de cultura digital e cidadania do Coletivo Puraqué nas periferias da cidade e em outros municípios, bem como as ações dos infocentros e telecentros espalhados nas cidades, reverberando as ações locais colaborativas de cultura digital, fortalecendo assim, as políticas públicas.
As ações de comunicação, nas comunidades ribeirinhas, pela Rede Mocoronga do Projeto Saúde e Alegria tiveram destaque na trilha Educação, Cultura e Direitos Autorais na internet e nos debates sobre gênero e tecnologia, dialogadas pelos educomunicadores Adriane Gama e Gabriel Abreu. O Coordenador de Inclusão Digital do projeto, Paulo Lima, participou dos debates sobre o desenvolvimento da rede. O jovem Maikson Serrão, da Vila de Boim, trocou ideias sobre servidores comunitários para as comunidades ribeirinhas.
Consensos sobre a democratização e aprimoramento da Internet no Brasil, deram o tom final para os encaminhamentos deste fórum, com a certeza unânime de fortalecer a cultura digital no país, em especial na Amazônia.
