Justiça determina permanência do Barco Abaré em Santarém
16 de fevereiro de 2012 por Fábio Pena
O barco hospital Abaré I, de propriedade da ONG holandesa Terre des Hommes – TdH, não poderá deixar o município de Santarém para outro município, estado ou país nos próximos seis meses. É o que determinou há pouco o juiz da 8ª Vara Cível de Santarém, Laércio Ramos.
A decisão veio depois da ação cautelar inominada ajuizada ontem (15/02) pela Procuradoria Jurídica do Município), vinculada à Prefeitura de Santarém, através dos procuradores Isac Liboa e Cynthia Soares.
A embarcação, que leva atendimento médico para cerca de 15 mil ribeirinhos do rio Tapajós, funcionando em comodato com as Prefeitura de Santarém em parceria com o Projeto Saúde & Alegria e desde de 2010 é a 1a Unidade de Saúde da Família Fluvial do país, pelo Ministério da Saúde.
No entanto, em comunicado de 2/fev enviado à Secretaria Municipal de Saúde de Santarém, Terre dos Hommes informou que não mais disponibilizaria o Abaré I para o serviço. Em nota publicada no dia 13/02, o coordenador do PSA, Caetano Scannavino, comentou sobre a decisão da Terre des Hommes de retirada abrupta do barco da região.
