A comunidade de Alto Aruã é banhada pelo rio Aruã. Suas águas caem no rio Arapiuns. Em frente a comunidade o rio forma um lago e no centro do mesmo tem uma ilha.
Quando os curandeiros ou pajés fazem pajerias eles contam que em baixo da ilha existe uma cidade muito linda. A beleza da cidade é tanta que nem mesmo sobre a terra existe uma igual. Além da cidade, embaixo da ilha existe uma fazenda. O dono da fazenda é o dono da cidade também. Ele tem a forma de um boi e os moradores costumam chamá-lo de Julião.
Quando o boi Julião fica bravo ele aparece e tira a sombra dos comunitários de cima da ilha. Para tirar o feitiço, só fazendo pajeria se não a pessoa morre e a alma dela vai morar na cidade bonita, embaixo da ilha. Essas almas também tomam conta da enorme fazenda.
Quando os pajés fazem pajerias para alguém, as que não se livram do feitiço incorporam no pajé. Aí elas podem conversar e perguntar como vão suas famílias.
Certamente, as pessoas comuns nunca viram essas coisas, pois isso é coisa de pajé.
