Jovens valorizam cultura tradicional de tecelagem de paneiros e tipitis

Em oficina realizada na comunidade Urucureá, Rio Arapiuns nos dias 19 a 21 deste mês, jovens valorizaram estes dois artesanatos típicos das comunidades tradicionais da Amazônia, produzidos como utensílios usados no processo de fabricação da farinha da mandioca e também decorativos. Fazem parte do rico repertório cultural das comunidades da região, mas com o passar do tempo, vão ficando esquecidos e em algumas comunidades pouca gente sabe fazer.
Preocupados com isso, jovens da comunidade de Urucureá, planejaram um projeto que visa valorizar essa cultura, em parceria com a escola da comunidade. Assim foi criado o projeto juvenil Areia Branca de valorização cultural, que recebe apoio da Rede Juventude Floresta Ativa, por meio do edital de apoio à iniciativas juvenis Magnolio de Oliveira, um programa realizado pelo Projeto Saúde e Alegria com apoio da Cáritas.
A ação juvenil tem várias atividades, uma das principais foi a oficina de tecelagem de paneiros e tipitisna qual convidaram os mestres da comunidade que ainda dominam as técnicas do artesanato, para ensinar para as crianças e adolescentes na escola da comunidade. Fábio Pena, coordenador do programa, lembra que a atividade combinou com o conceito propagado pelo educador Magnólio que dá nome ao edital de apoio aos jovens, “é o saber comunitário dando sabor à escola”.
Foram três dias de diálogos e aprendizagens práticas. Os mais velhos explicaram para os mais novos como é feito o artesanato, de onde se tira os materiais utilizados, e a importância deles para a comunidade. Em urucureá, boa parte dos moradores trabalha com a produção artesanal de cestos feitos da palha de tucumã, uma palmeira típica do seu território. A atividade é uma importante fonte de renda para a comunidade.
O tipiti é uma espécie de prensa ou espremedor de palha trançada usado para escorrer e secar raízes, normalmente mandioca. O objeto é utilizado principalmente por índios brasileiros e ribeirinhos da região amazônica. Já os Paneiros são cestos produzidos a partir dos trançados de palha, usados para guardar e transportar pão, farinha e tantos outros produtos regionais.
São feitos de produtos naturais, encontrados na própria natureza. Uma das discussões levantadas na oficina, foi a importância de proteger o meio ambiente e cuidar melhor do lixo na comunidade, onde foram elaboradas propostas para a destinação adequada do lixo.
O artesão Valdemar Ferreira falou sobre a produção feita durante a oficina: “o tipiti é um artesanato que foi criado pelos índios e que serviu para que os caboclos trabalhem com a farinha. É um artesanato muito importante e é feito da palha da bacabeira” – explica.
O jovem Raimundo Rodrigues Coordenador do projeto reforçou o intuito do coletivo: “objetivo é fazer com que as pessoas saibam tecer o paneiro e tipiti para que os jovens possam conhecer e ganhar dinheiro”..
PROTAGONISMO JUVENIL
Como parte da oficina, os jovens e as lideranças comunitárias também tiveram a oportunidade de debater no primeiro dia, temáticas voltadas à compreensão dos territórios e os conflitos socioambientais. Conduzida pelo jovem Walter Oliveira, membro do coletivo jovem tapajõnico, a proposta foi envolver os comunitários em debates para que tenham melhor entendimento que sua comunidade faz parte de um território maior, que sofre pressões e ameaças aos seus recursos naturais, e que todos devem se envolver na luta pela proteção ambiental e contra a violão de direitos das comunidades.
O educonunicador do projeto Saúde e Alegria e padrinho do Coletivo Areia Branca – Walter Oliveira destacou a necessidade da realização de projetos dessa natureza: “é importante estamos apoiando esses coletivos jovens que buscam desenvolver atividades propostas pelos mesmo fortalecendo com isso o protagonismo juvenil e quebrando o conceito de que o jovem não quer saber de nada, e a importância da confiança que esses jovens passam a tomar quando eles mesmos planejam suas atividades” – finaliza.
SOBRE O COLETIVO
O projeto coletivo Areia Branca foi provado durante o Festival Teia Cabocla 2018, como parte do Projeto Rede Juventude Floresta Ativa, realizado no Centro Experimental Floresta Ativa. Na Teia de Ideias concorreu com 30 projetos de diferentes comunidades. Desde 2003 a Teia possibilita espaço para que jovens apresentem suas propostas de projetos como resposta ao Edital Magnólio de Oliveira. As melhores ideias recebem apoio do PSA, para serem desenvolvidas. O nome do edital é uma homenagem ao querido Palhaço Magnólio que tanto animou a juventude das comunidades. Na comunidade Urucureá a iniciativa tem apoio da Escola e Tucumart, cooperativa de turismo e artesanato.
