Seminário de Sementes destaca potencial econômico para povos tradicionais

Frutos de plantas típicas da região Amazônica como Andiroba, Cumaru, Açaí, Fava e Seringueira são visados pelas indústrias de cosméticos, setor culinário e artesanal. Porém apesar da grande apreciação do comercio nacional e internacional, é preciso incentivar a plantação das arvores dessas espécies e fomentar a produtividade sustentável.
O questionamento durante o seminário na comunidade Nazaré – Região de Belterra na Floresta Nacional do Tapajós será se existe quantidade suficiente para a produção de mudas – diz o responsável pela ativid
ade e coordenador do CEFA Steve Mcqueen: “ – faremos o levantamento do potencial das principais espécies de arvores da floresta para conhecer um pouco sobre as potencialidades da semente que cada comunidade possui para que o agricultor melhore sua renda melhorando a adequação ambiental com uso dessas sementes” – explica.
Cinco comunidades da região participam da oficina que visa incentivar e melhorar a geração de renda e desenvolvimento sustentável dos moradores, com ênfase no aproveitamento econômico dos produtos extrativistas produzidos pelos comunitários.
Os moradores dessas comunidades conhecerão técnicas de coleta para a venda das sementes e terão acesso a estratégias de conservação dos recursos da natureza como método de capacitação continua aos moradores em técnicas e sistemas produtivos mais modernos e eficientes, que ao mesmo tempo preservem a floresta e garantam renda aos extrativistas.
O Seminário que começa as 10h00 desta terça (30) e segue até às 15h00 do mesmo dia, é organizado
pelo Projeto Saúde & Alegria (PSA) com apoio da Fundação Konrad Adenauer (KAS) e parceria da Federação da Flona, ICMbio, Associações Comunitárias e Coomflona.
