Projeto Territórios de Aprendizagem lança Guia Pedagógico

Foi lançado hoje, 27/02, na Escola do Parque da Cidade em Santarém, o Guia Pedagógico do Projeto Territórios de Aprendizagem, que busca valorizar os saberes e conhecimentos das comunidades tradicionais no currículo escolar visando melhorar a qualidade do ensino.
O Projeto Territórios de Aprendizagem é fruto da parceria entre o Projeto Saúde e Alegria – PSA e a Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Santarém com apoio do Programa Norte de Saberes da Fundação Carlos Chagas e Fundo Vale. Surgiu em 2012 com o intuito de trazer referências pedagógicas que possam contribuir com a melhoria da qualidade da educação no contexto amazônico. O programa compreende a escola a partir do conceito de território – espaço marcado não apenas pelas características geográficas, como também pelas relações humanas – auxiliando os sujeitos na compreensão de sua realidade, para que se tornem cidadãos mais críticos e reflexivos e que possam assim agir sobre ela.
O projeto se propôs a ajudar no fortalecimento da função social das escolas especialmente no território da Reserva Extrativista Tapajós-Arapiuns (Resex), o qual demanda processos educativos capazes de fortalecer o senso de territorialidade de sua população, especialmente das novas gerações.
Em seu primeiro ciclo de atuação, foram selecionadas quatro escolas na Resex, e um núcleo no planalto Santareno, para uma experiência piloto: no Eixo Forte, a Escola municipal de tempo integral Irmã Dorothi, da comunidade do Caranazal; e na Resex – Escola Nossa Senhora de Fátima, da comunidade do Anã; a Escola João Franco Sarmento, da comunidade Suruacá; a Escola São Pedro, da comunidade São Pedro; a Escola St. Ingnácio de Loyola, da comunidade de Boim.
Adotou-se como principal objetivo colaborar para a redução do espaço entre o ensino formal e a realidade sociocultural e ambiental dos alunos, possibilitando a construção de uma aprendizagem significativa que resulte na melhoria dos indicadores de sucesso escolar.
Os professores e gestores destas escolas participaram de diversas oficinas, nas quais tiveram contato com novas referências conceituais sobre educação do campo, educação ambiental, territorialidade, e sobre metodologias a serem utilizadas nas escolas.
O saber comunitário dando sabor à escola
As escolas participantes mobilizaram as comunidades num processo de mapeamento participativo de seu território, e dos conhecimentos e saberes tradicionais da população local. Deste forma, os alunos com apoio de professores e pedagogos do projeto, percorreram as comunidades identificando elementos expressivos, levantando o perfil social, econômico e ambiental a partir de sua própria sua visão infanto-juvenil.
Os mapas elaborados contemplaram aspectos como a cartografia da comunidade em si – com as especificações territoriais, geográficas; a biodiversidade – identificando a fauna, flora, pesca, coleta, extrativismo. Os alunos foram motivados também a pesquisarem sobre o conhecimento tradicional, os saberes populares, os mitos e lendas, a história local e regional, a culinária local, manifestações culturais coletivas, brincadeiras infantis, além de valorizar os talentos locais, como músicos, poetas, artesãos. O trabalho realizado construiu-se num rico banco de conhecimentos amazônicos que foram sistematizados e que agora estão disponíveis no Guia de Apoio Pedagógico do Projeto.
O Guia resume o passo a passo percorrido pelo projeto até o momento, com suas metodologias e atividades para que outras escolas possam experimentar, e também apresenta dicas pedagógicas sobre como unir esses saberes aos conteúdos escolares, do 1o ao 6o ano do ensino fundamental. “Partimos da idéia de que a criança pode aprender melhor quando o ensino contempla suas formas de viver na comunidade, quando o professor passa a utilizar elementos simbólicos e materiais que a criança domina para que o conteúdo das disciplinas ganhe significados para a criança”, explica Fábio Pena, coordenador do projeto.
No evento de lançamento do Guia, os professores e diretores das escolas participantes comemoraram mais um passo alcançado. “Esse Guia será de grande importância para o enriquecimento do nosso conteúdo programático. Nossa escola dá muita importância para os conhecimentos locais mas ainda hoje os livros que são oferecidos para nossas escolas, retratam realidades distantes da nossa, então isso dificulta o entendimento da criança. Com esse guia pedagógico, que é feito de dentro dessa nossa realidade, vai facilitar bastante trazendo mais motivação para a aprendizagem”, comenta a Diretora da Escola Nossa Senhora de Fátima, da comunidade do Anã, Renata Godinho.
A professora Eliana Amorim que leciona língua portuguesa aos alunos do 5o ano do Ensino Fundamental na mesma escola, também acredita que o Guia “só vai somar ao que a gente já vinha desenvolvendo com as primeiras experiência do projeto na escola. Buscamos sempre introduzir a pesquisa como parte do processo pedagógico, levando os alunos a conhecerem mais a fundo a comunidade. E com esse guia vamos aprimorar mais o nosso trabalho e fazer com que os alunos tenham um maior desenvolvimento nos estudos”.
Já o coordenador das escolas da região de rios, da SEMED, João Magalhães, disse que “trata-se de um material muito bom que vai motivar os professores e alunos, principalmente por ele ter sido construído pelas próprias comunidades, retratando a vivência, a cultura dessas comunidades”, avalia.
No evento de lançamento também foram anunciados os próximos passos do projeto. “Após este lançamento é que temos um longo trabalho pela frente. Vamos incentivar o uso do material nas escolas e avaliar os resultados para ir cada vez mais melhorando a proposta pedagógica”, explicou Davirley Sampaio, coordenador de Educação Ambiental da SEMED.
“Nosso interesse é contribuir com experiências como essa para ajudar as políticas públicas no grande desafio que é promover a melhoria da educação nas comunidade rurais. Esperamos que esta se torne uma experiência consolidada para que depois possa ser expandida para mais escolas pela rede de ensino” , afirmou o coordenador do PSA, Caetano Scannavino.
