Conexão Amazônia é finalista em feira mundial de comunicação móvel

O Projeto Conexão Amazônia, realizado pelo Projeto Saúde & Alegria com apoio da Fundação Telefônica / Vivo e da Ericsson, está entre os finalistas do Global Mobile Awards 2013, premiação que ocorre durante o Mobile World Congress (MWC), maior feira de telecomunicações e dispositivos móveis do mundo. O projeto concorrerá na categoria “Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social: Melhor Produto, Iniciativa ou Serviço em Mercados Emergentes” e os vencedores serão conhecidos no dia 26 de fevereiro, em Barcelona.
Eduardo Ricotta, vice-presidente da Ericsson para América Latina, diz: “Desenvolvemos diversos projetos no Brasil, como os ônibus conectados que já circulam em Curitiba usando tecnologia 3G, as crianças da comunidade da Vila Cruzeiro, no Rio de Janeiro, que agora podem interagir graças a uma solução de educação em nuvem voltada para países em desenvolvimento e um importante projeto de saúde para a rede pública, que vem sendo aplicado em São Paulo e representa um avanço tecnológico na área de saúde. Na Amazônia, ribeirinhos do rio Tapajós ganharam independência com o acesso à internet de banda larga e colocou uma comunidade que até então vivia isolada em uma janela de frente para um mundo de oportunidades. Estamos incluíndo estas pessoas à sociedade conectada a que elas têm direito”.
Para Françoise Trapenard, presidente da Fundação Telefônica Vivo, esse projeto proporcionou a comunidades ribeirinhas da região amazônica oportunidades de desenvolvimento não apenas econômico, mas social e cultural a partir do acesso aos recursos que a sociedade em rede oferece: “A região que, até a chegada do sinal da Vivo, vivia os desafios do isolamento imposto pela geografia da região amazônica, é hoje um lugar de pessoas conectadas, que vem transformando suas vidas e a vida de suas comunidades.” diz. “A motivação original desse projeto tinha foco em Educação e Saúde, visando proporcionar, por meio das novas tecnologias de conectividade, oportunidades de aprendizagem para jovens ribeirinhos e agilizar as atividades de assistência médica à população desenvolvidas a bordo do barco-hospital Abaré. Isso realmente aconteceu. Mas as transformações propiciadas pela conectividade foram muito além.” finaliza Françoise.
Para Caetano Scannavino, Coordenador Geral do Projeto Saúde & Alegria, “o reconhecimento internacional da importância de projetos de inclusão social através das comunicações em nossa região, fortalece uma linha de ação de muitos anos que desenvolvemos nos municípios de Santarém, Belterra, Aveiro e Juruti. Para nós, a comunicação e a inclusão digital são estratégicas para a promoção da saúde, da educação e mostrar ao mundo a alegria do Caboclo da Amazônia”.
Com população de quase 20 mil habitantes, Belterra é um pequeno município paraense que em 2009 recebeu sua primeira estação radiobase (ERB). Com a instalação dessa rede móvel com tecnologia de terceira geração (3G) para a transmissão de voz e dados, por meio de uma parceria entre a Fundação Telefônica Vivo e Ericsson, mais de 16 mil pessoas já foram beneficiadas com a inclusão digital a que o município foi inserida.
“De lá para cá, foram identificadas mudanças positivas na localidade que vão dos aspectos sociais aos econômicos, trazidos a partir do acesso à telefonia móvel. Numa cidade em que a atividade predominante está relacionada ao setor de comércio e serviços, os benefícios gerados podem ser traduzidos em uma única palavra: desenvolvimento”, explica Carla Belitardo, diretora de Sustentabilidade da Ericsson para América Latina.
Mas Belterra não foi o único beneficiado com a ação. Com o acesso à internet de banda larga, a iniciativa das duas empresas tem proporcionado aos moradores dos cerca de 170 vilarejos da região Amazônica do Pará, que ficam no entorno do Rio Tapajós, não só mais independência, como também o desenvolvimento de projetos com o uso de dispositivos de comunicação móvel nas áreas de educação, saúde, meio ambiente e geração de renda em conjunto com uma organização não governamental.
Em pesquisa feita pela Universidade do Pará, em 2010, um ano após a disponibilização da tecnologia de terceira geração (3G) na região Oeste do Pará, vários dados sociais foram mensurados de forma positiva à chegada da tecnologia em favor da comunidade. Na pesquisa realizada foram percebidas melhorias em relação ao trabalho, emprego e renda. O serviço de telefonia contribuiu para a criação de empresas e geração de empregos, fazendo com que 92% dos clientes de telefonia celular e internet tenham desempenhado importante papel no desenvolvimento da região.
O resultado será divulgado no dia 26 de fevereiro.

Noch ist unklar, wann an Ferienorten wie Hurghada und Scharm el Scheich

Die Regierung in Ankara erwartet zwar, dass die Bundesregierung ihre weltweite
Reisewarnung noch vorn Sommerferien auch für die Türkei aufhebt, aber ein solcher Schritt ist bislang nicht angekündigt.
