Feira das ICAMIABAS
6 de outubro de 2009 por Elis LucienA Feira das Icamiabas teve como objetivo fortalecer a produção feminina oriundas da região do Oeste do Pará, através da socialização de experiências organizativas, de produtos, contribuindo com a construção de uma nova perspectiva de inclusão, diversidade, igualdade, solidariedade e valorização das iniciativas de mulheres produtoras do Território.
É a primeira edição de Produção Feminina do Oeste do Pará intitulada ICAMIABAS, realizada pela AOMT-BAM (Associação das Organizações de Mulheres Trabalhadoras do Baixo Amazonas), apoiadas pelo CEAPAC (Centro de Apoio a Projeto de Ação Comunitária), MNR (Mineração rio do Norte), SEBRAE (Serviço Brasilerio de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas), Prefeitura Municipal de Santarém – Secretaria Municipal de Cultura), EMATER-PARÁ ( Empresa de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural do Estado do Pará), Secretaria de Estado de Agricultura/Pará Governo Popular, INCRA (Instituto Nacional de Colonização Agrária). Ocorreu nos dias 02, 03 e 04 de Outubro, na praça Barão de Santarém – São Sebastião – em Santarém com a participação de produtos artesanais dos municípios de: Faro, Terra Santa, Oriximiná, Óbidos, Curuá, Alenquer, Monte Alegre, Prainha, Almerim, Juruti, Belterra, Aveiro, Rurópolis, Placas, Trairão, Itaituba, Novo Progresso, Jacareacanga e Santarém.
O que é ICAMIABAS?
“Conta a lenda que, há muito tempo na floresta amazônica, existiu uma tribo indígena da grande nação “Tupi”, constituida unicamente de belas mulheres, livres e independentes, sem maridos, excelentes arqueiras e de suas riquezas: as icamiabas.
Em noites de lua cheia, as “icamiabas” faziam uma cerimônia sagrada para a Deusa “Iacy”, mãe-lua, no lago Iacy-uaruá, que quer dizer espelho da Lua. Para esse ritual sagrado eram convidados os indígenas “Guacaris”, vizinhos e amantes das belas guerreiras. Próximo à meia noite, caminhavam em procissão, pelas matas amazônicas trazendo aos ombros potes cheios de perfumes – ervas e raízes cheirosas – que eram, então, despejados no lago, purificando-o e tornando-o sagrado para a cerimônia em honra de “Iacy”.
Após o ritual amoroso com os Guacaris, sob as bençãos da Deusa-lua, as amantes guerreiras mergulhavam nas águas purificadas do lago e buscavam no fundo um barro, com o qual moldavam um amuleto, “o muiraquitã”, em diversa formas: rãs, tartarugas, peixes entre outros. A mais famosa era em forma de rã, de cor verde, que era presenteada por cada amante ao seu amado, como amuleto de sorte, fertilidade e proteção da divindade lunar.
Diz a lenda que o fruto desse encontro amoroso, quando menino ficava sob proteção do pai; se fosse menina seria educada pela mãe segundo as tradições ancestrais das “Icamiabas”.
