Água, indispensável para a vida

De maneira geral, sua utilização deve ser feita com consciência e discernimento para que não se chegue a uma situação de esgotamento ou de deterioração da qualidade das reservas atualmente disponíveis” (Declaração Universal da Água).
“A àgua no planeta ocupa 70% da superfície. Desde total, 97,22% é encontrada nos mares e oceanos, e somente 2,15% nas geleiras e iceberges e 0,63% é água doce. Um sexto da água doce é concentrada na Bacia Amazônica” (Água: Fonte de Vida/SECTAM).
A água é um recurso renovável, quer dizer, se transforma a cada etapa no ciclo hidrólogico ( as águas dos oceanos, mares, rios e lagos evaporam-se condensam, e voltam para a Terra em forma de chuva reabastecendo os lençóis freáticos, rios, etc; voltando ao ciclo).
A poluição das águas é a grande interrogação do século. Cientistas trabalham diariamente procurando respostas que envolvam o tratamento da água e a descoberta de uma outra forma na substituição desse líquido indispensável para manter a vida no planeta Terra. Antes que esses trabalhadores da ciência encontrem a solução, o simples ato de escovar os dentes com a torneira aberta, desperdiça vinte e cinco litros de água potável. E que essa mesma água, poderia saciar a sede de milhões de pessoas espalhadas por países em crise pela falta de água. A mudança de pequenos gestos diários, acarretará uma grande mudança para o planeta água. Alguns itens para reflexão:
Banhos de chuveiro desperdiçam de 95 a 180 litros de água limpa; Escovar os dentes com a torneira aberta, implicaria 25 litros de água; Feche bem torneiras, chuveiros eles gastam de 12 a 20 litros de água; Lave o carro, casa com balde, evitando o jorramento de água sem necessidade; etc.
São ações que ajudam o planeta e principalmente economicamente sentido no orçamento da renda familiar
